VARIETIES

Endurance
Endurance is Sierra's blend of turf-type tall fescue and our Kentucky bluegrass mix. Endurance combines the drought, heat, shade, and wear tolerances of tall fescue with the heavy, root rhizome qualities of bluegrass; which improves the turfs recoverability from foot traffic while providing a dark green color and excellent turf texture. Endurance has a deeper, denser root system and requires less frequent irrigation, it also has the ability to penetrate compacted soils. Turf-type tall fescue has better resistance to fungus problems such as leaf-spot, rust, and fusarium roseum and can tolerate soil salinity more than other cool season grasses. Endurance is an exceptional choice for industrial /commercial installations, residential homes, parks and playfields with foot traffic on a continuous basis. It has the ability to fill in divots on worn areas.

Dwarf El Camino
Dwarf El Camino is a blend of the Iatest improved, Dwarf fescue varieties. It's slightly finer texture is very similar to our Endurance sod in it's durability, year round deep green color, and increased hardiness. Dwarf El Camino is highly drought, heat, and wear tolerant turf with better resistance to most common fungus problems. Sierra's Dwarf El Camino, has shown excellent results in full sun and moderate shade Dwarf El Camino is deeper rooted, is tolerant of most soil types, and has a lower fertility requirement. This makes Dwarf El Caminio an excellent choice for lower maintenance turf areas such as playgrounds, schools, athletic fields, commercial installations and home lawns with increased traffic.

Majestic
Majestic is a versatile blend of Kentucky bluegrasses and turf-type perennial ryegrasses. It is medium to deep rooted, has good winter color, and has improved tolerance to common fungus problems such as rust and fusarium roseum. Majestic combines the hardiness of ryegrass with the rhizoming characteristics of bluegrass to improve shade and wear tolerance. Adaptability of Majestic is in both residential and commercial use where both aesthetics and wear-resistance are required.

Our sod is harvested in five square foot pieces, which are lighter and easier to install. We also have the ability to harvest and install 30" wide big rolls for large-scale installations.
